The Lanka Software Foundation has closed all Sahana related development as of June 30th 2009. This decision was made during a series of discussion held between the LSF and Sahana boards'.

A decision was reached to set up a new Sahana Foundation as a United States 501-C3 non-profit organization with the vision of building and sustaining a global community of open and collaborative ICT for emergency management.

As part of this decision, LSF has concluded current developments under the Sahana project.

For LSF, Sahana is considered as a success story and proved that we can incubate a globally and economically sustainable open source project.
