The IBM Service Corps team that was hosted at LSF during the month of October have finished their assignment at LSF.

The highlight of the assigment was the presentation given to Hon. Minister Prof. Tissa Vitharana, Minister of Technology and Research, on LSF and our project Ninithi.

The Service Corps are teams of about 10 people put together by IBM, from around the globe. It works to balance across region (East Asia, South Asia, Latin America, Eastern Europe, Western Europe, North America), and across skills sets ( marketing, HR, Project management, IT software or hardware or implementation, Procurement, Sales, Strategic Planning, Customer Relations, Technical consulting, Management consulting, etc,.).

Organizations are identified and scopes of work developed. Then highly skilled IBM consultants are placed to work for a month on a specific need of that client. Partners can include govt. departments, NGOS, educational institutions.
